I'm Okay
I only have a minute to write this. I've evacuated to Baton Rouge. I'd stayed in the hospital to be with my son during the hurricane and got trapped afterwards when the levee broke and flooded the city. After the hurricane i helped evacuate the NICU and the ICU to Baton Rouge and was then left behind in the hospital because the airlift could only take out the patients. Eventually I ended up in a dangerous part of the city when they got me out and i ended up getting my hands on a truck and was able to evacuate my baby's mother and her daughter. During my evacuation I literally dodged bullets and had to avoid robbers and potential riots. When life gets a little back to normal i'll give everyone full details. in the mean time I just thank God everyone is safe. my older son is okay with his mom and i'm near my baby in the new hospital. It was hell... it really was.

you must be exhausted! I am so glad you are alright. The hell that you have been through, I can't even imagine.
I am praying for you and your family.
Thank God that you are okay....I will be praying for you and your family.
I'm so glad to hear that you, the children and their mother made it out of there safely. I pray her condition is getting better. As soon as the news hit, all I could think of was the NICU, your son and all the other babies with their tubes and medications.
I'm also glad to see that your survival instincts shifted into overdrive, and through it all, you kept a level head.
Gotta love the blog fam. I was just telling my girlfriend the other day..."God! I wonder if Saga and the babies made it out?" she was like "Wwwhhoooo?" Me? "He's this N O blogger that...Nevamind".

thanks for the concern everyone. i'm trying to get things straightened out with finding a place to stay. right now i'm with friends, at the hospital, in the truck, and i even went home for a little while before they made a mandatory evacuation. i think i might be able to go home in 2-3 weeks after they get electricity running. when i'm home i'll update everyone on EVERYTHING that happened. trust me, u won't believe what you'll read.
